Target Field Trip Grant Grant Writing Workshop
WHY? It has become increasingly difficult for schools to fund learning opportunities outside of the classroom. To help them out, Target launched Field Trip Grants in As part of the program, Target stores award Field Trip Grants to K-12 schools nationwide. Each grant is valued up to $700. Grant applications are accepted between noon (CST) August 1 and noon (CST) September 30.
WHAT? This workshop will offer participants the opportunity to learn more about Target’s field trip grants. Participants may elect to listen and observe or submit a grant they have written during the workshop after the workshop has concluded. Participants will also be made aware of BOCES Co-Ser services that may work to offer a return on the grant money they obtain in subsequent years should they be awarded a field trip grant.
WHO CAN APPLY? Education professionals who are at least 18 years old and employed by an accredited K-12 public, private or charter school in the United States that maintains a 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1) tax-exempt status are eligible to apply. Educators, teachers, principals, paraprofessionals or classified staff of these institutions must be willing to plan and execute a field trip that will provide a demonstrable learning experience for students.

Step 3: Field Trip Information Narrative: *Describe the field trip you would like to plan for your students. What's the objective of the trip? Why is it important? Please limit your response to 2,000 characters, including spaces. *How will students benefit directly from the proposed field trip? How will the experience benefit your curriculum? How will you measure student learning as it directly results from the trip? Please limit your response to 2,000 characters, including spaces.
Step 4: Use of Funds Transportation Activity Fees Supplies Resources Food All Other Cost Will automatically populate total cost.
Step 5: Review application. You can review each step of the application and make changes as needed. Once you are finished with changes print it and then submit.
Things to keep in mind: Keep your login information as you will be able to go in and review the grant you submitted and will also have the ability to print additional copies if needed. All applicants will be notified by by December 15, Potential recipients will also be notified by U.S. Mail at their home address and must follow instructions to verify their application information and sign a publicity release form. Grant checks are made payable to recipient's school. In the event a recipient does not implement the field trip by the end of the school year, the grant will be forfeited and funds returned to the SPONSOR. Any tax liability is the responsibility of the school.
