The Requirements For Obtaining an Alabama Driver License

The following criteria must be met in order to receive your Alabama Driver License!

You must be at least 16 years old!

You must have possessed a valid learner license for at least six months.

You will need the skills necessary to drive.

You will have to pass the road test.

You are responsible for the test vehicle.

Who cannot be licensed?

Persons under sixteen years old.

Persons whose driving privilege has been suspended or revoked in any state.

Any person afflicted with or suffering from a physical or mental impairment.

If you fail the test.

Those who are a habitual drunkard.

Those under 19 years old and not enrolled in school. Our state law, AL Act , prohibits this from occurring!

One more bit of information…….

Alabama law requires a license on your person. Failure to do so can get you a ticket or fine.
