The First Triumvirate In ancient Rome there were three men holding the power in 60 BC and their names were Crassus's, Pompey, and Julies Creaser. Together they ruled certain parts of Rome and made sure to keep the order between their provinces and control was mostly at the hands of Julies Creaser because he had ties to Pompey and Crassus and Julies was also the head of the senate which meant he controlled all of Rome's power.

Caesar's election to head council When it came to Caesar’s election to the head council it was aware that Caesar was going to have an excellent chance for being elected to the senate than his former co-aedile Marcus Calpurnius Bibulus who was elected to the junior council when he lost the election to the top council.

Julius Caesar's open office Now when it came to Caesar's propaganda machine in which in the future references which would eventually lead to his own written records of the Gaelic wars and the and the Civil wars was all because of arguments that actually made Caeser sound heroic for the populist cause in the face of the conservative resistance of any appeasement between any of the Provinces.

Julius Caesars's path to glory When it came to Julies Creaser’s election to the senate by Roman law Creaser had to be at least 42 years old and since Creaser was born in 100 BC that would only make him 40 years old so they found out that Caesars was actually born in 102 BC making him the legal age to be voted for.

The law Julius put in The first thing Caesar did was that he put in a law that all the citizens must pay a bill for where they live and make sure that they did so this law was also enforced by Crassus and Pompey.

Julius' ties to his partners (Crassus/Pompey) While Caeser was in charge of the senate he knew that he had to get ties to the other provinces in the area so he made a plan to do so. He offered deals to both of the leaders that he would offer land to Pompey and taxes to Crassus so he could regain money for his veterans so that they would be ready for wars. Another tie was that Julius married to Crassus’s daughter Piso and Pompey was married to Julius’s daughter Julia. Those were some of the main reasons for their ties

The speaking of the taxes While speaking before the citizens in the public assemblies Creaser asked his co-council Bibulus on his fought on the subject of deploying taxes to all of the citizens in the all of the Provinces and a bill for all the people in the standing councils and his reply was that simply to say was that the bill would not be passed even if every one else wanted it.

The joining of the councils When it came to the joining of the councils Ceaser had very good reasons for why Crassus and Pompey should join his cause for partnership. First of all Crassus despetrally needed a good polationin and Pompey needed to reform his eastern veteran's so Ceaser help them both out with their problems.

The meaning of Triumvirate Students will be able to find out the meaning of triumvirate because Julies Creaser was one of the triumvirs which was apart of the triumvirate and the others apart from the first triumvirate were Crassus's and Pompey.

Any Questions?
