(a) Without the resurrection, Christianity like every other religion. II.MATTHEW 28:1 A.The Sabbath ended at sundown on Saturday.

1.Sabbath completed it is sunrise on Sunday. a) Mark 16:1;3 (1) All had been taken care of: III.MATTHEW 28:2-4 A. “Where God guides – He provides.”

1.Came to prepare Jesus’ body for burial! 2.Guards still in place! a) Caiaphas asked to have a guard at the tomb. (1) Matthew 27:63-64 (2) Told to do it himself!

(a) They sealed the stone! (i) The Lord blows the “door” off the grave! IV.MATTHEW 28:5-7 A.Verse 6

1.Jesus is ALIVE! 2.Psalms 16:10 a) The Old Testament predicted this day! B.Mark 16:7 1.Jesus knows how low Peter fells.

V.MATTHEW 28:8-10 A.They have to convince the disciples! VI.MATTHEW 28:11-15 A.People would rather believe in a lie than to face the truth?

1.Lies take no faith! VII.MATTHEW 28:16-17 A.A couple detour back to the tomb! 1.John 20:3-9 2.They had a hard time understanding.
