As educators, it is imperative that we foster creativity through open-ended experiences that promote the formation of new ideas and problem- solving situations. All students will not awake from an 8-hour rest period ticking with ideas, inventions, and solutions. For all learners, the extension of creative thought comes with opportunities to brainstorm, problem solve, infer, synthesize and construct higher levels of thought processes both in and out of the classroom setting. Brainstorming and idea mapping both generate and promote creative thinking at all levels.
