Technology and it’s impact on society Ali Aghashahi

Definition of technology Positive impacts of technology Negative impacts of technology

Technology is application of scientific knowledge that improves and accelerates human performance. Technology causes to increase efficiency and productivity and also has influence on product quality and quantity.

Public Healthcare Improvement Improving healthcare professional communication and check-up process Linking doctors with each other to share their knowledge Improving and inventing medical supplies and medicines

Communication Make long distance communication possible and easy Maintain and strengthen relationships Linking professionals all around the world in order to share knowledge Overcoming the sense of isolation Improving world business more reliable and trade speed

Travel and Transportation Make public transportation easier than before Make fast transportation Make different type of machines for transportation for different purposes (such as shipment)

Energy Efficiency Fuel cell technology that converts the chemical energy from fuel to electricity Inventing Hybrid vehicle that use two or more different power sources to move Using solar energy in order to make electricity

Education Accessible tremendous amount of information Easier peer reviewing of publications Innovation of learning tools (learning apps)

Negative impact of technology can come from miss usage of it. Every positive impact can be negative at some point. For example technology can improve communication but on the other hand can cause isolation

Dependency Human are almost disable without technological tools Technology make gaps between parents and their kids

Inactivate Life Increasing sedentary lifestyle Increasing obesity Socially isolated
