Profile Essay Profile: An essay that is similar to the “Remembering an Event” essay, but different because the experiences and details are not about the writer –but someone/something else. Profile Essay 1.Provides a detailed look at one person or one thing. 2.Reveals information about a person or thing through descriptions and examples. 3. You may use dialogue (talking) or quotes. Descriptions of scenes and settings also reveal useful information. 4. A strong introduction is important to get the reader's attention. 5. You may want to interview a person. Or, if you choose an object, you will want to study it. The more time spent with the subject, the better the paper will be.
