Review 2009 Organisation Review - appreciated by membership - role of Regional Panels clarified - secretariat better focused - work plan more structured Engagement with Stakeholders - active at IMO (>3 man-years) - enhanced relationships with OCIMF - re-examining effectiveness of partnerships (RT et al) - establishing contacts with new EU institutions - IMPA. Review 2009 (Financial) Membership remains strong Overdue payments significantly reduced Tokyo Annual Event cost neutral Publication sales exceeded budget Further strict cost and travel controls Minimal salary adjustments Currency exchange rates favourable through most of year (currencies managed accordingly) Operating surplus of USD 2.49 million (vs. budget USD 1.03 million) and Net surplus of USD 3.04 million Proposal to transfer surplus for 2009 to the Capital Fund, which would then stand at USD 5.58 million at year end
