Like marching shouting with our hands. I can sing sensitively, paying attention to volume, and the style of music I have achieved this by singing 1/3 bits of Hold on to your faith. I can tell whether my voice is a “Soprano” or “Alto I have achieved this by knowing sopranos have higher voices. Improvise and compose music for a arrange of purposes using the inter-related dimensions of music I can compose music using live instruments and technology I can improvise a drum kit accompaniment to a piece of hip hop music I can create sound effects to create a particular mood for a song

Wednesday 14 th January 2015 L.O:To respond to marking from last week. L.O:To write about my gospel experiences. L.O:To create a soundation composition.

Mr Salazar’s Comments Your work is excellent. I’m glad that you could send me an , log in to soundation and create your powerpoint. Could you add some captions to your pictures to explain what they mean and how they relate to your learning? Yes thank you. Do you have your LGFL username and password memorized? Yes I did.

My Gospel Experience 14 /1 /15 During my gospel lesson we sang loads of songs such as Jump, Let the sun shine, Hold on to your faith, Happy, Rather be and Colours. I was really looking forward to seeing the gospel teachers.Nadee taught us all the harmonies and Emllin played the keyboard for the backing track. My favourite song was Happy because it is a really jumpy. I didn’t really like Hold on to your faith because it is quite annoying. The harmonies were split up into two groups altos and sopranos.

Mr Salazar’s Comments Good work Ecem. Please see my notes on the previous slides. There are a couple spelling errors, and I want the picture captions on the same slide as the pictures. Well done for writing the LO and describing your experience in the Gospel Choir. Can you tell me more about the harmonies that you learned? Do you feel confident with your singing voice?Yes as I am always singing at home.

21 st January 2015 L.O;To respond to marking from last week L.O:To think about which ”I can statements I can achieve in music.

21 st January Assessment Today I was able to Respond to all Mr Salazar comments from the previous week Highlight the I can statement that im able to do in music Add additional I can statements that I would like to achieve in music.

Mr Salazar’s Comments 22 January This is excellent work. Thank you for responding to my marking. There is just one word on slide 5 that needs to be corrected Is it easy or difficult to sing the harmonies in the choir? It is kind off because we are singing so many different harmonies in colours.

28 January 2015 Learning Objective – To describe musical form Definition of “Form” – How the parts of a song are put together – The structure of music

Musical Form What are the different parts of music? (Add your own definitions) – Verse: Beginning part of song Is the verse only at the beginning? No the verse is the part of the song which usually changes I can sometimes start the song as well. – Chorus: Repeating part of the song – Bridge: A different part of the song it usually builds up. On the next slide, you will listen to the song “Happy” and add notes regarding the verse and chorus. The first two sections are completed for you.

Happy: Musical FormLyricsInstrumentsVocals Verse 1“It might seem crazy….” Drum Kit, SynthesizerFemale Soloist Chorus“Because I’m Happy…” Drum Kit, SynthesizerFemale Soloist; Background vocals Verse 2Here comes bad news …… Drum Kit, SynthesizerFemale Soloist Chorus“Because I’m happy….. Drum Kit, SynthesizerFemale Soloist; Background vocals Bridge“Happy happy happy…….. Drum Kit, Synthesizer clapping Is there synthesizer in the bridge? Female Soloist Anyone else? Chorus“Because I’m happy…… Drum Kit, SynthesizerFemale soloist Background vocals Bridge ChorusHappy happyDrum kit, ClappingFemale soloist background vocals Chorus BridgeBecause im happyDrum kit Synthesizer clapping Female soloist Bridge ChorusHappy happyDrum kit clappingFemale soloist background vocals ChorusBecause im happyDrum kit clappingFemale soloist background vocals

Mr Salazar’s Comments 12 February Ecem, your definitions on slide 17 look good. Please answer the question that I left for you, and revise your definition of “Verse” Slide 18 is well done, but there are a couple of sections that are out of place. I have placed the correct order in Green. Please make the appropriate changes.

25 th February 2015 In this lesson I put the song happy together on movie maker I imported all the pieces it was quite easy but when I listened to the song at first it didn’t sound right then I realised I put the chorus before verse 1.Once I had finished I saved it under the name off Ecem If I was to listen to happy and not knowing the song was split up into pieces I wouldn’t of realised.

Mr Salazar’s Comments 27 February Ecem, your Happy video is perfect, and I really like your paragraph on slide 20. Thank you for explaining the process you went through to arrange the puzzle pieces correctly. Can you add the video to this powerpoint?

Gospel At The Royal Festival Hall Yesterday we went to the royal festival hall to sing the songs we had learnt at gospel we sang Colours,Jump,Hold on to your faith, Rather be, Happy, Love has no colour and Let the sunshine. The concert finished late but it was quite fun. We all were giving loads of energy and dancing to most of the songs the audience was also joining in which was fun.

Mr Salazar’s Comments 4 March Ecem, thank you for adding your Happy video. Can you tell me a bit more about what you learned during Sing Inspiration? Have you improved as a singer? What was the most challenging part?

18 March 2015 Learning objectives -To add sections to my learning journey powerpoint -To add a photo album to my learning journey Extension -To add video clips to my learning journey to illustrate my musical learning

Charanga My username is Yildiz My password is **emyi***z19 Well done for showing me what you were able to do on Charanga. Did you find the texture activity easy or difficult?

Wednesday 6 th May Lo:To finish off my work.

I watched dropping out the beat and I made my own beat. 11 May: This is excellent work Ecem. Thank you for all of the screenshots. They have helped me to see what you have learned. I’m glad that you were able to do the extension activity. Is there any particular reason why you chose the order in the sequencer?

I3th May 2015 Learning Objective: To describe the time signature in music. Song 1: Drive- Drive has four counts Song 2: Simple 12 Bar Lead-has four counts in each bar Song 3: Clin D Oeil- It has three counts Song 4: Your Planet It has four counts, Song 5: Three O’Clock-It has 4 counts

20 May 2015 Today I wrote down how many counts or beats a song had. I screen shot it and saved it in the photos. It was quite hard listening to the different counts but I got there in the end.

24 th June We done a quiz today about dynamics. I also composed on soundation I don’t have a sample of my work.

Today I had a quiz on crescendo and diminuendo. Here Is a picture of it.

8 th July Today I filled out a questionnaire about my music lessons and what I would like to learn next year on page 33 it will be there.

Moving On To Year 6 I enjoyed playing on charanga and composing on soundation. I am looking forward to playing the samba drums in year 6 and learn how to play in time with the music. I didn’t enjoy writing in my learning journey because it took long to load the powerpoint and I ran out of time because the laptops are SO SLOW.
