Fall of Rome With time the Roman Empire began to fall apart.

Reasons behind Fall Bad emperors Weaker army Roman disunity, endless infighting Economic decline Invasions & revolts Mass migration

Fall of Rome The government fell apart. No maintenance –roads- water – buildings Towns & cities shrank as people fled. Travel & trade slowed down because it became unsafe.

Middle Ages Middle Ages – period of time between the fall of the Roman Empire & Modern Times. It is also called Medieval Times or the Dark Ages.

Middle Ages The advances and inventions of the ancient world were lost. With out a strong government people turned to the Roman Catholic Church & military leaders for support.
