Proximity Sensors

What are proximity sensors is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact.sensor

How do the work The object being sensed is often referred to as the proximity sensor's target Pulsing out a signal and receiving an input from it’s output Detect the distance

What kind of proximity sensors are there? Electromagnetic - It affects the behavior of charged objects in the vicinity of the field Electromagnetic Infrared – Sends out a pulse of light that detects distance Infrared photoelectric sensor - a device used to detect the distance, absence, or presence of an object by using a light transmitter photoelectric sensor Capacitive - Capacitive sensors detect anything that is conductive or has a dielectric different from that of air Capacitive dielectric Inductive - detects metallic objects without touching them Inductive
