COMPONENTS of EVENT PROGRAMS ADVERTISEMENTS – GENERATE MORE REVENUE to help with program cost INFORMATION about the event – Players, coaches – Statistics, rules – Schedule, guests

CONSIDERATIONS OF SCRIPTS Announcers must read script in smooth, professional way – Before the event: Script writer and announcer should review script NEED TO IDENTIFY NAME AND PRONUNCIATIONS THAT MIGHT BE HARD TO SAY Text should be clearly written – Double-spaced – Key points should be bold.

“You Do” In your group, you will create part of an EVENT PROGRAM for an event/game of your choice. You need to research what different programs look like for your event and follow the guidelines below to create an tangible program to be turned in for a project grade (It can be created on the computer or done part by hand part by computer) 1.Create Front Cover 2.Create Back Cover 3. Decide on STYLE (Font, colors, etc.) 4.Create Contents Page listing all the components to be found in the program 5.Create 2 other pages as Promotional Tools (ads for sponsors, tickets, concessions or anything you might find as an ad in the program – you can not do one per page) Make sure and Proofread/ Edit for error. You will turn in a hard copy of your program
