Dangerous Nations Among Us Many nations want to destroy us as Americans, but more importantly, as Christians.

Introduction In the world today there are always nations that keep people in despair of danger. Nations today that hold so much ability of destruction in their hands, seem to keep us worried of the dangers that might befall us or our children at just any time. But our primary worry should be the dangerous nations among us religiously, for they are always prevalent and are very deceitful in their attacking. Let's consider some of these nations by name so that we will know them:

ABOMINATIONS Are Loathesome, Detestable, Abhorable, Containing idolatry with all of its pollutions, Repugnant. Deut. 25: 13-16; Deut. 18:9-12; Prov. 6:

ASSASINATIONS Comes from the Latin word "sicarius", from "sica", which means a dagger, a murderer, a bandit or robber. Acts 21:38. this is the only place in the New Testament where this word is found. There are several ways that one can be assasinated: His Character. His name. His influence. Prov. 22:1; Jas. 1:26; 1 Tim. 3:7; Titus 3:2.

DOMINATION To exercise authority over, or to rule over. Husbands are to be head over the home but not to be domineering. Wife is to be in subjection to her husband. 1 Tim. 2:12; Eph. 5:23; Psa. 119:133; Rom. 6:14,9. Diotrephes was a domineering fellow. 3 Jno. 9,10; 1 Pet. 5:1-4.

CONTAMINATION Things that are not pure. Things that are unclean. Things that are polluted or unworthy. Rom. 12:1; Jas. 1: 27; Titus 2:11,12; Psa. 12:6; 19:8; 73:1; Phil. 4:8; 1 Tim. 5:22; Jas. 4:8; Mt. 5:8.

DISCRIMINATION Showing partiality to certain ones. Prov. 24:23; Jude 16; Jas. 2:1-5; Look at Lazarus in Lk. 16:19-31; Acts 10:34,35.

TERMINATION A quitting or going back, a stopping of the action, a cutting off. Quitting the church. Heb. 10: Those that would quit the church, terminate the marriage vow that they have made with Christ. Rom. 7:1-4 Many went back and walked with Him no more. Jno. 6:66; Heb. 10:35-39.

DENOMINATIONS A naming of, and a distinct setting apart of those under the different names. Such is contrary to the prayer made by Christ to His heavenly Father. Jno. 17: Paul said: "Let there be no divisions among you", 1 Cor. 1:10. He further said: "Mark them that cause divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine." Rom. 16:17,18. Jesus said: "Every tree that my Father hath not planted shall be rooted up", Mt. 15:13. The Psalmist says: "Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it;..." Psa. 127:1.

CONDEMNATION Judgment, sentence. 1 Tim. 3:6. Jno. 3:18,36; Mk. 16:15.16; Rom. 8:1. Do we not condemn when we determine someone to be unworthy? If someone wants to refuse the Gospel, that is their business, but we should at least offer it to them.

IMAGINATION A mental image, conception, or notion; a creation of the mind; a fanciful or vain notion; a scheme, plot, or project, especially of evil. 2 cor. 10:3-6; Gen. 6:5; Prov. 18:11; Lk. 1:51; Rom. 1:21; Acts 4: “Behold I thought” “It seems to me”

PROCRASTINATION Putting off until some other time the thing that should be done at once. Prov. 27:1. To defer or delay. Psa. 119:60. The five foolish virgins are prime examples of procrastination. Mt. 25:1-10; Prov. 13:12; Acts 24:25; 1 Thess 5:2,3; Eccl. 5:4,5; Heb. 3:7,8; 2 Cor. 6:2.

Conclusion Yes, we have many dangerous nations among us, so we will have to always be on our guard that they do not overpower us. I think the last nation mentioned, "Procrastination", is the most dangerous of all. If we conquer this nation and obey the Lord by putting Him on in baptism, we will be well on our way to overcoming the other dangerous nations about us.
