Abstract A Google Drive based course portfolio system was used in an introduction to computing course. Documents, slideshow presentations, forms, spreadsheets, and HTML files were included in the student portfolios. Students created folders that contained their work for each grading period. Access permission was given to the instructor who could open the portfolio and view, run, comment on, and grade the assignments. This presentation will discuss the strengths and challenges of using a Google Drive based course portfolio system as a teaching tool.
