21/01/20167 Benefits It ensures that a large number of children come in contact with the scheme With the volunteers training the children it increases the amount that can be trained The training focuses on pedestrian skills, none of these would be easy to teach without practical roadside training Helps to improve parent /teacher relationships Approaches the community Does not affect teachers workload

21/01/20168 Going Forward With out the volunteers the scheme can not go forward The scheme is for three years Targeting schools and areas in Conwy that have a high child accident rate The scheme is funded by the Welsh Assembly and after the three years it will be reviewed
