Antonio Caldara An Italian Baroque composer Died on Dec in Vienna Wrote about 3,500 works (over 90 operas, including cantatas, and oratorios) Some famous works: Missa dolorasa, and L'Olimpiade

Early life Born in Venice around 1670 His father was a local violinist, but not famous. He was a choir boy at St. Mark’s Cathedral studied the viol, keyboard, and cello… This is a Viol, I thought it was An interesting instrument
