Fall Recap Overview To earn Chapter Excellence credit: The instructions below must be followed to earn full credit in Chapter Excellence. Notes: If you have any questions or need help, please contact your Membership Manager or Step 1: Upload Your document on the Phi Sigma Sigma secure website to your chapter’s Resource Library in the Recruitment file folder - Spring Recruitment Plan subfolder or Fall Recruitment Plan subfolder. Step 2 : Save as Fall Recap 2013 or Spring Recap 2014 Please note the spaces Due Date  November 1 (fall 2013 recruitment)  March 1 (spring 2014 recruitment)

Fall Recap Purpose of this document: This document will allow chapters to show the success experienced in the most recent recruitment season. Chapters will identify strengths and areas for improvement as well as show how the recruitment plan was executed. This guide is designed to serve as a template for your chapter’s recruitment wrap-up and sets forth the minimum expectations of what must be included. Feel free to include additional information that you think would be useful in demonstrating the outcome of recruitment. Recap Review: In order to receive full credit in Chapter Excellence the following questions must be answered and at least three (3) photos from each round of recruitment must be submitted. These photos should include the room layout, set up, decorations, and attire. Photos should also be submitted for Bid Day. For any questions or help, please contact your Membership Manager or

Recruitment Retreat Evaluation Please describe the chapter recruitment retreat (what worked well, what didn’t work well, what topics were covered, who facilitated the retreat, etc.).

Recruitment Review During the most recent recruitment period, what were your chapter’s strengths? During the most recent recruitment period, what were your chapter’s weaknesses/areas of improvement?

Party/Event Details – Conversation Wrap-Up If you used bumping, discuss how well it worked and any problems the chapter experienced. Are there any areas of conversation that the chapter needs to work on to be more effective during recruitment?

Party/Event Details – Theme Wrap-Up *Note: Each round of recruitment should have at least one slide dedicated to it.* Please describe the round/event. For example, what was the focus, what were the key conversation topics with PNMs, was there a video or speech?

Party/Event Details – Decorations Wrap-Up *Note: Each round of recruitment should have at least one slide dedicated to it.* This is where you show what each round of recruitment looked like. Please include as many pictures as possible to really paint the scene of what your recruitment room/chapter house looked like. Include pictures of any craft that you completed, your food and beverage table, decorations, etc. This is also the place to talk about any multimedia that was used. If you showed a slide show or video please submit that as well.

Party/Event Details – Clothing Wrap-Up *Note: Each round of recruitment should have at least one slide dedicated to it.* This slide is for pictures of the final outfits for each round. Feel free to include pictures of the entire chapter as well as individual members. Please let us know where you ordered/purchased your outfits! This will be a great resource for other chapter members.

Bid Day Details – Activities Wrap-Up *Note: Use multiple slides if necessary.* Discuss what was done during bid day (e.g., theme, agenda, activities, etc.). Did you use any multimedia? Include your best bid day new member pictures (you might see some of them in future Fraternity publications!). Please include pictures of any gifts that you gave to your new members.
