Did you Know… that there are 4 stages of language acquisition: Confusion Frustration Comprehension Oral communication

.Literacy Oral language skills Reading Writing  Math Whole Numbers Patterns and Equations Multiplication and Division Facts Measurement Fractions and Decimals Geometry Data Analysis Large Numbers  English  Science, Social Studies and Health are integrated units of study

 Follow the classroom code of conduct  Je respecte les autres. (I respect others.)  Je fais de mon mieux. (I always do my best.)  Je respecte le matériel. (I respect the material environment)  Je parle toujours en français. (I always speak French.)

 Given on a weekly period base  Consist of : Reading (15-20 mins every night) Spelling Occasional math homework  Please continue to monitor your child’s homework  Please check the bottom of the homework sheet for parent notes  Visit our Teacher Page

 Your child will receive their first report card in November.  The report cards criteras are graded with letters (A+, A, B, C and D)  It will be based on:  At the end of May, your child will have a Provincial Assessment in Reading and Writing Observations in class Evaluations Final projects During the reporting period, you will be invited to come and meet with me so we can discuss your child’s accomplishments.  At the end of May, your child will have a Provincial Assessment in Reading and Writing in French.

 s are not the most efficient way to communicate in case of emergencies or an activity that takes place during that day (ex: appointments). Please sent a note with your child.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact me as soon as possible. I am available from 3:30 to 4:30 every day.
