Презентация ученика № 1 Music is a language which speaks to everyone-from the day we are born we hear music of some kind most days of our lives. But there are as many different kinds of music as there are different languages, and it is impossible to describe them all. Here are just a few well known types.

Match the name with description: A) Jazz B) Pop music C) Classical music D) Blues E) Rock and Roll F)Rhythm and blues This was originally black country music which also came from the Southern States at the beginning of this century. It is slow, usually sad music which is often sung by one person with guitar.

A) Jazz B) Pop music C) Classical music D) Blues E) Rock and Roll F)Rhythm and blues This developed from the Blues in America in the ’40s.It became faster and more complex and used more instruments, e.g. saxophone, guitar, piano, drums. The music was often about city life and white musicians started playing it as well.

A) Jazz B) Pop music C) Classical music D) Blues E) Rock and Roll F)Rhythm and blues This is serious Western European music from the Middle Ages to the present (1500 to day) and it was often written for a large orchestra, e.g. a symphony, or for a small group of players, e.g. a quartet or a duel. Many instruments can be used. A lot of music was also written to be sung-as opera. It is very popular and schools often teach this type of music.

Презентация ученика № 2 Which music do your class makes prefer ?

How many predictions did you get right? Score one points for each tick. Read your score to see how well you know your partner. 1 to 5 : You are not really on the same wavelength. 6 to 9 : You know your partner’s taste music quite well – or you’re good at guessing. 10 to 13 : You’re completely is tune with your partner.

Which music your classmates prefer? Findings : 66% - prefer pop music 30% - listen to classical music (sometimes) 0% - dance rave 0% listen to jazz 4 %- listen to rock

Pop music attracts most of young people. Young people search for new rhythms and new styles which are full of corse and vigour, which deal with youth hopes, dreams, disappoints and joys. One pupil plays a musical instrument. 70% Of parents like the same music as their children. As for me I got 9 predictions, so I know my partner quite well.

Презентация ученика № 3 Making music A. How many of these musical instruments can you name in English?

B. Many people want to learn to play a musical instrument, but how do decide which one is best for you. You must act yourself a lot of questions first. With you partner imagine one of you wants to buy a new instrument and discuss these questions: How much money do you want to spend? What kind of music do you want to play ? Do you want to play with other people? Do you want to have lessons or teach yourself? How much time do you want to spend practice? So which instrument do you choose?

C. Now listen to advice of professional musician about learning to play an instrument. Learning to play an instrument is like learning anything else - a new language, typing, driving, a new sport. All these things take a lot of time and practice – you can’t learn something new in fire minutes. You often make fantastic progress when you start and then stay the same for mouths. Many times you think you can’t do it – you’ll never be any good – but remember an English saying “Is at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.” Are an just a few things I advise you to remember before you start: -Always look after your instrument and clear it. -Try and get some professional lessons. -It is important to practice regularly – few minutes a day is better than one hour on Saturdays. -Never miss your practice time. -Don’t give up!

Complete: Always ….. Try and …… It is important to …… Never …… Don’t …… D. Give some advise do a friend who wants to learn English, using these phrases. Work in pairs.

Презентация ученика № 4 Is here doo mush music? 1.Read that Dima says about music. Yes, I love music. I listen to it all the time. I’ve got a Walkman so I can listen to music when I’m out. At home I always have the radio on and I watch pop programmers on TV. I buy an album or cassette about once a month, usually something in the fob ten. I like pop music – it keeps me happy. Questions: a. What kind of music does Dima like? b. How does he listen to music when he’s out? c. What does he listen to at home? d. Why he listen to pop music?

How read what his mother says. I know he’s only 14, but he’s driving me mad with his music. All day long blasting out of his bedroom! I can’t hear myself think! I can’t talk to her because he’s always got that walkman on and he can’t hear me. Either that or the TV. I’m worried about him because he doesn’t do anything else. He never reads, writes letters or phones his friends. It’s just pop music. e. How old is Dima? f. Why can’t his mother talk to him? g. Does Dima play music loudly or quietly? h. Why is his mother worried?

Discussion: Do you think many young people are like Dima? Do you think it is a bad thing to listen to music all the time? Why? Why not? Should Dima’s mother try and stop him listening to music? If so, how? Is anyone in your family like Dima?
