Course Summary: Anatomy = structure Physiology = function Pathology = disease This class studies the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the human body. We study the 11 organ systems of the body.

Dissecting - Fetal pigs Chicken Wings – bones, ligaments, muscles Hearts Brains Eyeballs Kidneys

Grades: Scores from tests, quizzes, lab reports, notes, projects, etc. Research presentations A midterm exam and a final exam - each will be worth 10% of your child’s grade.

Bonus Points! Available throughout the semester. –Reading and summarizing a news article –Making a poster –Recording a television program Bonus projects are worth 5 points each. Maximum of 10 bonus points/semester.

Tests - Tests will be announced in advance Absence = essay test Make arrangements to take the test early (regular test format) if you know you will miss class the day of a test.
