Considerations for: FoR Organization is an instrument for the achievement of specific goals Organization has an optimal structure and process The Rational Frame How human needs affect organizations Organization is the vehicle for satisfying healthy human needs The Human Frame Is the relationship between the organization and its surrounding environment, whereas the organization adjusts to its surroundings Environment should be considered as constantly changing The Systems Frame How organizations operate as a functioning unit within society States that the organization is bounded by the allocation of scarce resources The Political Frame The way the actual organization can define problems and offer solutions based on the existing culture of the organization Is reflected in behaviors and norms, and the group's behaviors are due to learned responses based on that culture The Cultural Frame

Cultural influence

A Leader is a Learner of People Situation Possibilities …and DEALER of HOPE !

Levels of leadership 5. Pinnacle: Respect- People follow you because who you are and what you represent 4. People Development: Reproduction- People follow because of what you have done for them 3. Position: Rights - People follow because they have to

Levels of leadership Leadership is always learning and growing process Understanding your Leadership Level Understand you are not on same level for everyone you lead Question is how you come to Know?

Levels of leadership Take the names of people you lead (Immediate) Put their name down Ask yourself simple question – what level I am on with that person Do your best to put the number out there After you know what level of leadership your at with them, then you know how to lead them.

Levels of leadership Because the not everyone you lead will see you based upon who you are as a person or leader They see you to the five levels grid The person at level 1 will see you different than the person at level 4 The commitment level will be higher as you go higher

Final thought "Just as the diamond requires three properties for its formation— carbon, heat, and pressure—successful leaders require the interaction of three properties—character, knowledge, and application (BE- KNOW-DO). Like carbon to the diamond, character is the basic quality of the leader. . . . But as carbon alone does not create a diamond, neither can character alone create a leader. The diamond needs heat. Man needs knowledge, study and preparation. . . . The third property, pressure—acting in conjunction with carbon and heat—forms the diamond. Similarly, one’s character attended by knowledge, blooms through application to produce a leader“. - GEN Edward C. Meyer
