Civil Rights Lawyer By: Rebecca Ochoa

Summary Civil rights lawyers help protect and defend citizens from unreasonable punishments, protection from discrimination based on gender, religion, race, etc, and ensuring safety and access to health care, culture, and education. They also inform citizens of their human/legal rights. There are many citizens who in reality do not know their legal rights. They are reminded of freedom of expression, equality under law, right to work, and right to education.

How being a lawyer includes math? There are various ways math is used un this profession. It depends on the branch of law you are going into. For example if you are going to study to be a real estate lawyer you will be using lost of math. As for me, I want to study to be a civil rights lawyer so this is how they use math: As a civil rights lawyer, you use math to figure out the probability of your client being found guilty. You will also use math to figure out how much you will charge. What the odds are of your client winning their case.

How being a lawyer includes technology? Technology is used when you are researching your clients case. There are various strategies you can use to defend your client. Using technology helps you research different cases in which can help you defend your client in their case. Without technology you couldn’t really make a decent defendant case which would lower your probability on winning the case.

How science can be used in the law profession? Science is used to study the evidence you are given to fight against or for the case. You have to look over all the evidence and observe the different points of views in your case so you don’t miss any points.

What I learned about my profession? What I learned from my profession is there is a lot of time out into everything you do. With this profession, you have to do a lot of research and put a lot of effort into any case you are given. You have to stay focused and pay attention to every detail because any little thing can cause you to loose the case.

What interested me about my article/ What interested me about my article is I never realized how many points there could be brought up in 1 case. There are many different things that you could take from 1 case. It Is very easy to be brought down in your case because of one simple detail. There is a lot of time and effort that you have to put in to it, you cant just show up and wing it no matter how well of a persuader you think you are.

What I would like to learn more about.. What I would like to learn more about is what rights a person has and how they can be used in different cases. I would like to learn how to construct a successful case. Another thing id like to learn is how to start your own law firm.
