Safety Precautions: Operational Maximum Voltage Maximum Current Input18 V9 A Output105 V3.5 A
Tested software by giving it simulated inputs that were out of range. Circuit shut down was indicated by the LED. Safety Precautions: Operational Demonstration
Safety Precautions: Zener Diodes The Zener diodes provide paths for current to flow in the event of an abrupt disconnection.
PCB Size Changes
Efficiency: Synchronous Rectifier Circuit efficiency was improved by replacing standard components with more efficient alternatives The standard diode was replaced by an ideal diode The design accommodated both alternatives in the following way: Losses ~ I 2 R DS(ON) Losses ~ V F I Ideal Diode from Inductor to Battery
Problems and Solutions o The holes on the PCB were drilled incorrectly Drilled bigger size holes by hand o Traces were conducting and leaking current Attempted to fix by hand, then determined it would be best to mill another PCB o Limited RAM on PIC Space-conscious coding
