Timelines

Timelines BC: Before Christ’s birth ( before the year 0) We now call this BCE “before common era” because not everyone follows Christ BC and BCE are on the same area of the timeline AD: “anno domino” after Christ’s birth (after the year 0) We now call this CE “common era” because not everyone is a follower of Christ CE and AD are in the same area on a timeline You will see both so be aware!

How do timelines work? BCE is to the left of zero. The farther the date from zero the OLDER the event AD/CE is to the right The farther the date from zero, the NEWER the event
