Newark Central School District Universal Pre-K Update of Enrollment and Progress

Full Day Enrollment: 54 students  18 students in each of the three classes  Currently 7 students on a Full Day Waiting List (all are currently enrolled in half day program) Half Day Enrollment: 58 students  2 classes of 20 (with 2 teacher assistants)  1 class of 18 Outside Provider Placements: 12  Students are placed at Roosevelt, Candy Apple and Head Start Enrollment

Social/Emotional Ability evaluated by teachers answering 12 questions based on observation of socially appropriate student behaviors. Percentages are based on behaviors "Demonstrated" consistently. Number Sense Ability evaluated by showing students 3 sets of items: students identify which set had more or which set had less. They were shown six sets with different numbers of items: three with the concept of more, three with the concept of fewer. Percentages are based on students who scored 3/3 on each section.
