Reading Program Reading workshops are taught in the form of a mini lesson. Then students practice that skill with silent reading. Silent sustained reading is necessary for students to become better readers. Research shows a minimum of 60 minutes is needed daily to reach the next grade level of reading. 40 minutes of reading is our goal at school. 20 minutes of reading is what we expect nightly at home.
Grading Policy Any work that is corrected is completed at school. The highest grade possible on corrected work is 70. Study Hall – Study Hall is held on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 7:30. This is for unfinished work that is overdue.
