Overview General Problem Specific Design Objectives Implementation and Test Plan Project Schedule Budget Estimate

Problem Definition To assist the visually impaired while riding a bicycle. Design able to be used from adolescence to adulthood.

Design Objectives To work functionally To have 3 different output options Beeper Vibration Beeper and Vibration

Design Objectives To have the bicycle be powered by a generator. Where the child pedals and the generator creates electricity.

Ultrasonic Sensors and Programming For this project we will need to program the ultrasonic sensors that will be attached to the trike bike. For the programming there will be a lot of trial and error to get the correct dimensions.

Testing The testing will be done in sections Ultrasonic sensors alone Ultrasonic sensors on the bicycle The micro controller The alarm system The testing will be performed by us and hopefully people from the North East Passage.

Project Timeline

Responsibilities Emily Car will research compatibility of the components and attach the components to the bicycle. Ashley Hale will search for products and wire the components together on the bicycle. Both will assist writing code and test the product on and off the bicycle.
