Where is Sault Ste.Marie located? Sault Ste. Marie is located on the most eastern side of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The St. Mary’s River is a landform that runs through Sault Ste. Marie ands divides it into 2 separate parts. A Canadian part and a United States part.

Father Jacques Marquette named Sault Ste. Marie. Sault Ste. Marie is a French name meaning “ Rapids Of St. Mary’s”. He choose the name because when he saw the river it was fast moving. In 1797 it was split in two.

there are many things to do in Sault Ste. Marie. You can do snowmobiling, bird watching, visit the Soo Locks, if you are lucky enough you can watch the Downtown Annual Outhouse race! The winner gets the BIG STINKER TROPHY, and much more.

Many Pro Hockey players played college at Lake Superior State, which is in Sault Ste. Marie. Doug Weight and Brian Rolston played there. Brian Rolston Doug Weight

Sault Ste. Marie is a great place to go to Sault Ste. Marie is a great place to go to. You can do things inside and outside. You can watch the Annual Out House Race and visit the Soo Locks. Now that you read about Sault Ste. Marie you should go there.
