The Liberal Party was founded in 1945 to re place the Untied Australia Party (UAP). The UAP had been developed as a new alliance in 1931.

The Australian Greens, commonly known as The Gree ns. The party was formed in 1992 and is today a con federation of eight state and territory parties. This party's leader is Christine Milne.
