The Australian Labor Party(ALP) governs in A.C.T, Tasmania and South Australia. You’re leader is Julia Gillard. The Parties governing Commonwealth of Australia have began after the federal election in The Parties competes against another for political offices at the federal and state(sometimes at the local) level. The Labor Party has descended from 1890’s in the Au stralian colonial parliaments to federation. The ALP was founded as a federal party prior to the first sitting of th e Australian Parliament in 1901.

Liberal Party of Australia’s leader is Tony Abbot. The Liberal Party is governs in Victoria, NSW, South Australia and Western Australia Liberal Party is one of the most important Australian political parties. The Liberal Party was founded in 1945 to re place the Untied Australia Party (UAP). The UAP had been developed as a new alliance in 1931.

The citizens used to vote in an Australian Country Party and adopted the name National Country Party in the name had change to National Party of Australia in The leader of this party is Warren Truss. This party is governs in Queensland. This party has been represented in the Federal Parliament ever since in its formation over 80 years ago.

The Australian Greens, commonly known as The Gree ns. The party was formed in 1992 and is today a con federation of eight state and territory parties. This party's leader is Christine Milne. The formation of the Greens in 1992 brought together over a dozen green groups, from state and local organizations.

This party’s leader is Bob Katter. It was formed in 3 rd June 2011 by the Federal Member of Parliament Bob Katter. It won two seats at the March 2012 state ele ction in Queensland.
