 Provide 9-12 English Language Arts professional learning for our region  Share resources and expertise among members  Provide a vehicle through which the 9-12 ELA CCGPS training can be implemented  Create a collaborative support group among 9-12 ELA teachers

Topics suggested by the regional data dig and the Literacy Advisory Board include:  student-involvement in assessment  data team process  effective instructional planning  writing exemplars  teacher feedback and commentary  differentiation

 Willingness to examine our practice in a safe environment  Establishing true standards-based English language arts classrooms  Utilizing research-based best practices  Adolescent literacy - teaching struggling high school readers  Building exemplary programs: putting it together
