Meet the Teachers

What is Freshman Academy? You’re here to learn the skills you need for success in high school. We’ve divided you into groups, and you’ll spend the first week working in those groups on some fun activities. After that, we’ll meet once a month to complete some other activities.

Other Activities? We want to make sure you know how to organize your time, study properly, and succeed in high school and university. We’ll also have you creating a portfolio that’ll be helpful for your entire high school career.

What’s this about a Portfolio? You’re going to start a portfolio this week, and you’ll be adding things to it for all of your high school career. What is a portfolio, and why is it important? By the way, you need to bring a Binder and some dividers by Friday!

Freshman Academy Houses Over the course of the year, your House will be able to earn points. At the end of the year, the House with the most points will win a Mystery Prize. Often, we’ll use the Houses over the course of the year to help organize you for things like Sports Day, fundraising, and so on.
