National Trust Stackpole Outdoor Learning Centre (Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol)

When We went to Stackpole from Monday 28th April – Friday 2 nd May While we were at Stackpole, we did three – quarters of our John Muir award. Also we all tried wild garlic. It’s Horrible!

Who Nearly all of year 5 went to Stackpole except for 3 people. Everyone went to Stackpole on two coaches. One coach had the Gulls, Guillemots and Razorbills. On the other coach was Puffins and Fulmars. Every year, year 5 always go to Stackpole. The teachers who went were Mr Protherough, Mr Burgess, Mrs Paxton, Mrs Bletchley, Mrs Best and Mr Hewins

Conserving We went to Stackpole because we were going to do our John Muir award. In the conserving we weeded an invasive, non- indigenous plant called pheasant berry. Also in the conserving we did a Broad- haven beach clean, by picking up plastic.

John Muir Award John Muir founded the worlds first national trust park in the USA called Yellowstone park. John Muir believed that wild places should be looked after. That’s why this award is named after him. The John Muir award has four sections exploring, conserving, discovering and sharing.

Exploring and Discovering We explored the lakes when we went canoeing and pond dipping. We explored the woods. We also explored Stackpole climbing Quarry. It was very hot when we explored the beach, completing a coastal walk and beach clean. We also explored caves.
