The Great Blue Class Tea Party Welcome to our tea party. We would all like to say thank you for all the things you do to make our time at school so special.
Here are some of the things we have been learning about. We started by sharing the story ‘Honey Biscuits’ we would like to share this with you.
We wanted to find out how bees made honey We wanted to find out how bees made honey. We had a visit from mrs Val Bone who is a local bee keeper. We also had a visit from our own swarm in school and wrote about it in the school newsletter. We made a model of a bee hive and a tree in blossom so that we can explain to others all about bees and pollination.
In may we waited for the sun to shine and picked elderflower to make Elderflower cordial. Ingredients 4 lemons 1kg of golden caster sugar 25 elderflower heads 2 litres of water
We worked hard planting things at the allotment with Mrs Higginson and hoped to see Strawberries in June. Unfortunately our beds became waterlogged so we had to buy the strawberries for our jam. We have used this in our Victoria Sponge Cakes which we made with Mrs Pinder-White. Strawberry Jam Ingredients
We have been learning how to play cricket from our instructor Mr Nick Draper. He has taught us lots of skills but also to try to be good sportspeople. We would like to share a poem with you all about Cricket.
