A REVOLUTION IN ROAD BUILDING USING SOIL STABILIZATION AND FULL DEPTH RECLAMATION

PULVARIZE ALTACRETE AND CEMENT INTO THE GROUND ( 2% ALTACRETE, 98% CEMENT) + 90% SOIL =10% BLEND BY WEIGHT Preparing the surface and spreading the AltaCrete mixture correctly is a critical step. The ratio of AltaCrete to Portland cement need to be (2% Altacrete +98% cement Mix) + 90% soil = 10% full mix blend by weight. Trained personnel ensures the active ingredients are evenly distributed on the surface. The Altacrete mixture is spread onto the prepared soil by a Cement spreader. This is required Before the reclaimer can begin Mixing into the soil. Grading is critical as it Determines how the road will Be shaped. It is important to crown The road when grading Water is sprayed out of the moving irrigation Truck. Speed is monitored which ensures the soil is Submerged Spreading procedures will be measured by a trained technician to ensure accurate dispensing of Altacrete and cement. to the correct levels. This will allow AltaCrete to fully hydrate and start crystalline within the soils. The crystalline growth occurs once water is applied The curing is so strong it crystallizes for up to 180 Days. Cement alone cures in 28 days Tilling or Reclaiming is how we achieve the mixture to 30cm depth. Mixture into the chamber of the reclaimer. The mixture is spread behind the reclaimer to form a new Layer. Within 24 hours, the surface becomes load bearing and Ready for traffic. The surface will be tested and in most Cases we see strengths of 4 to 8 MPA. Current roads Are 2 to 3 MPA. Only 50% Alphalt is needed when used With the strength of AltaCrete. After mixing, we use a pad foot compactor which forces Maximum compaction of the tilled soil and reinforces any Gaps. Heavier the compactor the better.

The stabilized layers are high in tensile and ductile strength, which allows absorption and vibrations from traffic, heavy Trucks and equipment. AltaCrete will continue to cure and increase strength for up to 180 to 200 days Once stabilized, the layer “flex” as opposed to crack, greatly prolonging the lifespan of the road.
