 why it is important for you to be very familiar with how a computer works and what it can do. A computer is simply a machine that is programmed to follow instructions. Computers in today's world can perform thousands of tasks.

 the World Wide Web is the Internet, it is only one of many services found on the Internet.  Online Muli-Player Gaming  Internet Relay Chat(IRC)  Video Conferencing  Electronic Mail ( )

 Web Tracking web site makes a record of your visit, and possibly other sites you have visited,it’s called web tracking.  Viruses A program designed to replicate and spread to as many computers as possible is a Virus. They can be immediately visible or be working unseen on your computer for months. There are many types of viruses.

 Search Engines This method of searching uses software programs that search the web and record information.  Directories Directory-based searches use people to search the web for similar web sites, they then place them in a directory.

 Who’s behind the web page? For a long time, what was published in print media was nearly always true and reliable. When a publishing house or major newspaper sends a story to print, they have fact checkers make sure the story is accurate.

 It will be almost impossible to predict what the Web will be like in the future.  1) More and more people will use the web.  2) The Web will get faster and faster.  3) The Web will grow continually grow more wireless.
