My goal is to help you reach your goal !

Today we will… Identify homework board and write down today’s assignment Talk about beginning of class routine Go over some basic rules and procedures Fill in an index card with information for the teacher Complete a “get acquainted” activity Look at some of the things we will do this year. Start homework

EVERY DAY, at the beginning of English class… Report to your seat as soon as you enter the classroom Once you are seated, copy the homework from the homework board into your agenda. (Do this now.) Begin reading from an I.R. (independent reading) book unless/until the teacher gives you other instructions.

Basic Classroom Rules Arrive fully prepared and on time. Remain in your seat at all times unless you have permission from your teacher to get up. Raise your hand and wait to be called on before speaking. To leave the class, you must have a pass Refrain from touching or disturbing others and/or their belongings. Do not throw anything in the classroom.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY… TREAT EVERYONE WITH COURTESY AND RESPECT!

On the front of the index card…. Melissa Samuelson 2439 Lake Ridge Dr. Dresher, PA H Mom’s cell Dad’s work Last year I had trouble with grammar. -I have asthma and might need to use my inhaler.

On the back of the index card… I would like to sit near the front because I pay attention better there. You taught my sister Becky two years ago.

Who are you????? 1.Tell everyone your full name and anything your know about your name. 2.Tell us the best and the worst thing that happened to you this summer AND/OR 3.Tell the class something interesting or weird about yourself or your family.

I get to go first!!!
