Example Gonzalez, Ramon. “Public Called to Help Battle Growing Homelessness in City.” Western Catholic Reporter. 20 Nov Ramon Gonzales, senior writer for the Western Catholic Reporter, has written many articles about current world issues. He won the Knights of Columbus Award for an article about World Youth Day in In this article, he investigates the reasons for homelessness, and the lack of low- cost housing. He also demonstrates ways in which we (the general public) can help with the homeless situation. Gonzalez distinguishes the “root problem” from the “band-aid solution”, which convinces people to become pro-active. The article also contrasts the past homeless situation to the present and emphasizes the need for a change. Since the article was written very recently, the information is up to date and will provide many quotations and statistics that can be used in my speech.
