Presentation transcript:

Wingers creating space on the flank in formation

9/8/2015 Subject: In this presentation I will try to explain my analysis, my plan and realization one a practice session. T his is plan for coaches how should build practice session today, where coaches need to be more creative to build environment to players self learn. This presentation also is for purpose of development of college players with new demands in modern soccer game- coach Milan Trajlov

This presentation will be divided into three stages: 1.Analyzing real situation on game 2.Design practice session base on previous research 3.Application into practice session and actively monitoring players during session : *Physical aspect-using Polar system *Technical aspect-using verbal and video explanation- before practice, during practice, after practice and analyze applying in game *Tactical aspect using verbal and video explanation-before practice, during practice, after practice and analyze applying in game All three factors will work through stages:” isolate small sequences which will use to develop practice from simple to complex and prepare multiple stages for players. This is process education players over period time !!!”

The buildup takes place on the left. No 8 drops back and receives the ball from No 5.The winger No 9 drops back towards the available passing line while No 3 who is already in an advanced position, moves forward in a synchronized movement. As No 2 blue follows No 9, space is created on the flank. No 3 receives the long ball from No 8 Creating space for the full back on the flank a)

The Ball is in the defensive midfielder No 8 possession in the center. As there is available passing line No 9 drops back and full back is in an appropriate position moves forward. As No 2 blue move forward there is space available for No 3 to exploit. Creating space for the full back on the flank b)

No 7 creates space for No 10. Both defensive midfielders are beyond opposition forwards. No 8 is in deeper position and unable to exploit the free space on the flank No 5 pass to No 6 in the centre. No 7 drops back toward possible passing line and creates space. As No 11 is on weak side No 10 is player who moves to take advantage of it and receives pass. Creating space for the centre forward on the flank a)

Another option for the winger to create space for the center forward. The ball is passed to the right back No2 who is in deep position. As he has available time and space No 7 drop back and blue No 3 fallows him. Centre forward move to take advantage of the free space Creating space for the forward on the flank 2 b

The defensive midfielder received ball on the left side of field. Center forward No10 is on the week side and No 11 is on strong side. This force both blue center back to close No10 and leave blue No2 little support. As soon No 8 pass to No 3, No 9 drop back, opposing No2 follows his movement. This reaction creates space for No11 to exploit. The pass is direct to No 11 Creating space for the central attacking midfielder on the flank

 Basic elements:  Good synchronization between the players involved  Reading the position of the players so that the right player takes advantage of the free space  Accurate passing  Proper technique  Physical demand players on specific position  From situations above we can see when the man in possession was defensive midfielder or center back, according to tactical situation there were three options exploiting the space created by winger. The most frequent option was the pass towards the full back that moved into advanced position to exploit the free space. This enabled team to have many players inside the box for potential cross  When the full back was in deep position the center forward or the central attacking midfielder were the players who took over the job of exploiting the free space.

In next stage my work is to focus on to isolate small sequences from real situation in game, which will lead to develop practice session.Session will be create from simple to complex and prepare multiple stages for players. Next 5 pictures will idea in which direction we need to go to create practice session.

Attacking midfielder No 9 is on strong side and going to exploit free space Attacking midfielder N9 is on weak side and going to make support run for No 10

 Session For the above tactical situation (6 stages)  1 Patterns for Creating space  2a, 2b Building up plays with real pressure from two forwards and creating space on flank with combination play  3 Building up plays with real pressure from two forwards and creating space on flank –full back more advanced position  4 Building up plays with real pressure from three forwards-one midfielder enjoying them- and creating space on flank  5 Building up plays with real pressure from two forwards and creating space on flank in a Dynamic zonal practice  6 11 v 11 Dynamic zonal game

Description This practice with options which forces players to think quickly and act appropriately. There is two practices in one with two wingers aiming to create space. The practice start simultaneously from both sides. Objective Patterns to develop attacking combinations and movement to create and exploit space on the flank Coaching points -Players need to read tactical situation. -Accuracy passing, Technique passing -Synchronizations movement

Objective: In this situation winger creates space when full back is in the possession and center forward or attacking midfielder exploits it. Restriction: 1 The full back only can leave their area by dribbling the ball 2 The blue player can perform aggressive defending or passive zonal defending 3 Yellow have one or two touches and they need to complete some numbers of passes Coaches points: -Read situation -Accuracy -technique

Full back in advance position Full back in deep position

Restriction: -limited touches -forward pass must make before white line -attacking midfielder move constantly but must retain balance with forward and staying between two white line

*Physical aspect-using modern system for team monitoring *Technical aspect-using verbal and video explanation- before practice, during practice, after practice and analyze applying in game *Tactical aspect using verbal and video explanation- before practice, during practice, after practice and analyze applying in game In this presentation we will be more focus on system for team monitoring. With this system we are able to monitoring all players during game and practice. We can see speed, heart rate, distance covered, sprints, training load, recovery time and so many other things. Next set of pictures is what we can monitoring….

 How I used this in real practice session? Of course this is just visual presentation, in real we need to add time factor and this session like part- puzzle of vision, developing even session over period of time. Each these sequences have so many subsequences, which depend on level and needs of group. We can’t watch this blindly, this is just some platform and frame how we should try to coach and educate players. Each session is part of evolutionary changes players. After practice session will compare with results between real game and this session. So many answers we will have and so many parameters to incorporate in next practice session. Level of learning will give our answer for design next practice. This very high level, but from very first day we need some direction on where we are going. Good coach need to know the limitations of his team and also not to use that as an excuse. Each group players is unique with varying needs. The Coach’s task of trying to find ideal practice session is impossible as each new day with we find new needs. If we can convey this message-how is learning process never stop- through working with players, students or kids….they can go on to be ready for life.
