ATLAST - Ph. Ghez -18/04/001 Status of ATLAST (ATlas Liquid Argon Software for the Testbeam) Who we are: –ISN (France): Fairouz Ohlsson-Malek, Johann Collot, Solveig Albrand –LAPP (France): Alain Bazan, Philippe Ghez –LAL (France): Claire Bourdarios –UVic (Canada): Michel Lefebvre, Randy Sobie What we do: –produce a « new » software to permanently store, access and analyze LAr TB data within the (future) Atlas FW

ATLAST - Ph. Ghez -18/04/002 Status of ATLAST (ATlas Liquid Argon Software for the Testbeam) Methodology: –THE methodology (USDP) Requirements, UC, Analysis, Design, Implementation –BUT also: close contact with the « real » world: –people: LAPP group –software: EMTB = it exists and... it works ! (...and we don ’t touch it...) –and WITHIN: the general process going on in LAr (Iteration 2)

ATLAST - Ph. Ghez -18/04/003 Status of ATLAST (ATlas Liquid Argon Software for the Testbeam) Present Status (for iteration 2): –Requirements: from (real) users –UC diagrams: within general LAr design –Analysis: packages (specific to TB) –conversion: from TB tapes to the EvtStore –calibration: Ped, TP+delay analysis –reconstruction: not really specific (trivial interface) –others: NOT specific to TB (simulation, visualisation,...) entities (in progress...)

ATLAST - Ph. Ghez -18/04/004 Status of ATLAST (ATlas Liquid Argon Software for the Testbeam) More in details: UC diagram

ATLAST - Ph. Ghez -18/04/005 TBConvData (most urgent): –read TB tapes –unpack TB data for 1 run and store the results ( in DetDataStore, for each run; Cond. DB=not clear yet ) detector description –module idenfication –cell description (cabling details: cf Note) –ID, pos, material, quality flags –cold cabling –hot cabling –calibration constants run condition –detector position –beam description –beam instrument description slow control informations ( in EventStore, for each evt ) calo data beam instrument data Status of ATLAST (ATlas Liquid Argon Software for the Testbeam)

ATLAST - Ph. Ghez -18/04/006 Status of ATLAST (ATlas Liquid Argon Software for the Testbeam) What we need (from FW): –BookKeeping (for both Evts and Det. Store) –EventStore ≈ EvtFormat DB: Objectivity + (please) Root I/O –DetDataStore for: (TB) det. description (TB) run conditions (TB) slow control –the rest: visualisation, simulation general analysis FW (ex: evt loop)

ATLAST - Ph. Ghez -18/04/007 Status of ATLAST (ATlas Liquid Argon Software for the Testbeam) (optimistic ?) plans and schedule: –analysis: ongoing; should be finished before LBNL week –design: need the FW main task/goal before... summer –implementation and test: store/retrieve TB evts in EvtStore and analyze (reconstruct) them ideally september for sto./ret. and Xmas for recons.
