MS. E’S POLICIES & PROCEDURES

CLASS RULES  Respect Others  Respect Yourself  Respect your Instructor

ENTERING AND EXITING THE CLASSROOM  Be on time.  Get a book from the shelf for your table.  Complete bellwork during the first 10 minutes of class.  When you leave put your textbooks back on the shelf so everything is organized for the next class.

CLASSWORK AND HOMEWORK  Be prepared to take notes everyday that you come to class.  Bellwork should be listed by date in your notes. Test questions will come from your bellwork.  Assignment dates are not flexible unless you have a doctor’s excuse filed on FOCUS.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME DURING CLASS?  Take notes, you don’t have a textbook at home so notes are your only study tool!  Participate in discussions and ask questions. I love a good agriculture debate!  Do what is asked of you the first time. I do not assign extra credit assignments at the end of the semester.  Be flexible—some days we’ll be outside, some days we’ll be in the classroom and other days we’ll be in the shop.

BELLWORK

LATE WORK  Must have an excuse filed in the office and listed on FOCUS to make up work.  Assignments turned in without names will be on the nameless board for 3 days and then they are trashed..

ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES  3 ring binder  Writing utensil  Paper  Closed toed shoes on shop days

SHOP AND LAND LAB  We’ll go over the rules during the safety chapter  The main rule 

…AND FINALLY

QUESTIONS?

ONE MORE THING… MEDICAL EMERGENCIES  I faint occasionally. It’s really no big deal. It’s called vasovagal syncope. In the event that it happens during class, the student sitting at the front table closest to my desk should call the nurse at extension 243. Everyone stay calm—no classwork the rest of the period!
