Virtual Terminal Merchant Console Sale A Sale transaction authorizes the transfer of funds from a customer's account to your account. Pre-Auth A Pre Auth reduces a card's credit limit just like a Sale does, but the Pre Auth does not actually request the transfer of fund A Pre Auth cannot be settled until a Completion transaction is performed on the original Pre Auth transaction. Voice Auth If you are ever unable to access IPCharge, you can call your processing company and verbally request approval for a credit card transaction. If the card is approved, you will receive an "auth code" (authorization code). A Voice Auth cannot be settled until a Completion transaction is performed on the original Voice Auth transaction. Completion A Completion transaction "completes" a Pre Auth or Voice Auth transaction; it makes the Pre Auth or Voice Auth available for settlement. Return A Return is the opposite of a Sale transaction. It authorizes the transfer of funds from your account to a customer's account. Reseller Reports Merchant Summary – This report generates a brief list of the total number of transaction "clicks" performed by each merchant you have created (within the date range that you specify). A click is defined as a transaction that has been successfully processed (regardless of whether the transaction was accepted or declined). Merchant Details – This report generates a detailed list of the transaction types performed and card types processed by each of your merchants (within the date range that you specify). Merchant Usage – This report generates a detailed breakdown of the rates and fees incurred by each of your merchants (within the date range that you specify). The commission totals displayed in this report should only be considered as estimates (since the range specified may not necessarily be only one month, and since per-month rates and fees cannot be accurately determined until the end of a billing month has past). You will receive a monthly commission report from VeriFone (or your reseller).
