Wildlife Art Pennsylvania Endangered Species

Currently, there are 27 animal species that are currently endangered or threatened just in this state. This assignment is to raise your awareness of such animals and practice drawing and coloring from reference.

What I need A piece of wildlife art from you On 9 X 12” paper (vertical or horizontal) No border. Black and White with pen or pencil Color can include pastels, chalk pastel, marker or Colored pencil. Whole page needs to be filled with no white spaces

How to do it Go through your packet Choose 1-3 animals that would seem interesting to draw. Start arranging how you would like your picture to look, play with scale, angle, background and placement of animal(s).

To Think About – Don’t Rush! What style will you choose? Simplified, patterned, solid colored, shaded, close up, detail of head PRACTICE ! Most likely you aren’t used to drawing from photos, specifically animals. Your first drawing will be far from perfect, even if you can draw, try different angles and placement of your subject.
