Marta Bohn-Meyer The First Female Crewmember of an SR-71 Blackbird Role Model Marta Bohn-Meyer The First Female Crewmember of an SR-71 Blackbird

Marta Bohn-Meyer Dossier: Operations Engineer for Dryden’s F-104 aircraft. Operations Engineer for the F-14 Variable Sweep Laminar Flow Flight Experiment. SR-71: 1st female Crew member for NASA. 2nd female to fly in the SR-71 Blackbird. Chief Engineer of the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center in Edwards, CA. Died in a 2005 sport plane accident in Oklahoma City.

What is Laminar Flow? Laminar flow airfoils were originally developed for the purpose of making an airplane fly faster. They keep the air molecules close to the wing for much longer period of time.
