Digital Technologies for Marketing Sector - Technology Brand - Apple

1.1 - The objectives of website design Our chosen brand Apple, is a brand/company, which looks to supply information to achieve sales. This is achieved via offering support through the means of providing information on the products, while trying to create profit through selling of a wide range of electronic goods. 1.2 Integration with marketing and business objectives 1.2 Integration with marketing and business objectives Apple’s current main marketing objective is centred around the recently released iPhone 5. This has be made the main focus by the eye-catching picture and statement (above). The business objectives are clear and rarely change, and can be understood to be focused on selling these products.

1.3 Online value proposition Online value proposition is a method used to convince consumers to go to Apples own website rather than competitors. With Apple being a well known brand across the globe, their online value proposition is very strong, solely because of the brand along with the simplicity of the website helping consumers to navigate through the products. 1.4 Customer orientation – audience segmentation The minimalism of the Apple website, allows customers to easily orientate there way around the site, whether it be to find products or services. This is demonstrated with the ease of locating the desired product by the simply labels situated at the top of the screen.

1.5 Dynamic design and personalisation Page Design 1.5 Dynamic design and personalisation Page Design Apple’s continuous theme of simplicity can be seen through their website design, store layout and overall in their products This continuous theme has led Apple to become a recognised brand, through their subtle but very informative ways of marketing their products. 1.6 Aesthetics The graphics and style format of Apples website, is a modern approach combining sophistication with simplicity. The use of video material can be seen in all areas of the website and gives the customer a more direct route and view of the product, through a detailed description by designers.

1.8 Navigation and structure The structure to Apple’s website and the ease of use, due to clear and consistent signposting, this allows for minimal clicks. The straightforward construction of the site optimizes the flow through the site and the visitor satisfaction.

1.10 Interaction The majority of pages within the Apple website and more often than not on the home page their is a short video available to watch on certain products that is just a single click away and opens up in a small video player. The Apple home page is very simplistic and due to the site having such a simplistic nature there is limited interactions available. One of very few interactions within the site include the changing colour of the top tabs when you roll over each individual with a curser. Apple have made their website very simple and easy to use as thats the image they wish to portray not only their website but also all of their products.
