Some ships were cargo ships – Not made for fighting at sea. Low ammunition after a four month sail once they reached English Channel. The ships were not prepared for bad weather conditions.
Leader had no experience. Crew became tired and lethargic once entering English Channel due to lack of food and water. Too much weight on each ship.

Activity Draw a typical Spanish Armada ship in your Topic books (in pencil). Label the parts of the ship and materials discussed earlier. THEN – Explain the problems the Spanish Armada faced during the battle (think about the problems they created for themselves due to bad planning) – you can use a tablet to help you research problems. You can use gel pens to label the ship and listing the problems – Take care with your work, this is not a scrap book!
