Presentation transcript:

The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) are moving in July to the Stephen F. Austin state office building located at 1700 North Congress Avenue in Austin. The agencies will temporarily shut down their online services on July 14 after 5pm. TREC and TALCB will be closed to the public on Friday, July 15, to move all staff offices, equipment and supplies to the new location. TREC and TALCB phones and online services will be unavailable from July At mid-month and over a weekend, this should cause the least disruption for the public and license holders. The agency will reopen for business on Monday, July 18, on the fourth floor at the new Congress Avenue address. All license holders whose licenses are due for renewal prior to July 31 are strongly encouraged to complete their renewal process online no later than July 14. Renewals may be done online at the TREC or TALCB websites by clicking on the yellow “My License Online Services” button at the top of the home page. TREC previously stated that the move to the new location would also provide additional bandwidth for online services and phone lines to more effectively serve the real estate licensees across the state. For more information and regular updates, please go to the Texas Real Estate Commission website at TREC and TALCB Moving in July

Changing patterns at this time last year can sometimes make for seemingly large shifts in the numbers. For that reason, it's important to watch overarching trends as opposed to any one weekly snapshot. In the Houston region, for the week ending June 5: New listings decreased 9.2% to 1,985 Pending sales increased 47.6% to 1,244 Closed sales increased 3.6% to 1,003
