Practice CS Processing Best Practices Amy McCarty Education Services

Objectives Use your Staff Dashboard to manage your work and To-Do items Best practices for entering time and updating your tasks Understand the best ways to find and manage client information

Staff Dashboard Have all portlets you will use on one (2 max) views (tabs) Filter your Tasks portlet to show Ready tasks Filter your Scheduled Items for To-Do Items only Use the field chooser options to display relevant columns Set as your Favorite screen (Setup > User Preferences) Save the layout!

Time Entry and Tasks Move Project column to be in front of Engagement Setup User Preferences to allow efficient time entry and to easily update Tasks Update your Tasks status during Time Entry to simplify the workflow

Client Dashboard Have all portlets you will use on one (2 max) views (tabs) Have the Projects portlet set to show tasks Use the field chooser options to display relevant columns Link the client folder on your internal server (if applicable) to the Solutions portlet Utilize the portlets to manage client information

Client Custom Fields Use to track information currently kept outside of the program Can easily run reports and filter client lists based on the custom fields
