Syllabus/Course Info Supplies: binder graphing and lined paper 4 dividers writing utensil 1 st Period – Colored Pencils 2 nd Period – Glue Sticks 3 rd Period – Scissors 6 th Period – Clear Tape

Tentative Scope and Sequence (see handout) 1 st semester: Scientific Method, Safety, Ecology, Biochemistry, Cells, Photosynthesis/Cell Respiration, Cell Reproduction, DNA Protein Synthesis, Fundamentals of Genetics. 2 nd semester: Genetic Engineering/Human Genome, Evolution, Classification, Protists/Fungi, Plants, Human Body Systems, Vertebrates/ Invertebrates.

GRADES Late work accepted up to 1 day late for 70% credit! After that it will be 50% credit. It is extremely hard for me to accept work later than this as it begins to defeat it’s intended purpose and it forces other students to wait for their corrected work Tests – if a student fails a test – re-testing is available on a students’ own time (max grade = 70%) Students who receive less than 50% on a test are automatically bumped up to a 50% grade

Make-up Work Policy I try and post all info on school webpage Make-up work station on counter. If you have questions, you can – I do check on weekends!

Tutorials I am available most days before school. My scheduled time is: Tuesdays & Wednesdays 6:45-7:15 However, I will take questions from any of my students at other times, if they make arrangements ahead of time
