On this day in history At the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, marks the end of World War I. Also known as Armistice Day.

Today is Veterans Day. The United States originally observed Armistice Day in 1919; it then evolved into the current Veterans Day holiday in 1954 where we celebrate the service of all U.S. military veterans, not just those in World War I.

Today’s weather is sunny and windy with a high of 64 degrees.

Don’t delay. You can buy a chance during lunch for only $.50. With your donation, vote for the teacher you want to ‘Pie.” You can also buy a chance to enter the pie eating contest during Stinger Night for $.25. The money supports our Relay for Life team.

Today’s lunch is teriyaki beef nuggets with mashed potatoes, gravy and applesauce. Today’s lunch specials are meat lovers pizza and hot buffalo chicken sandwich.

Tomorrow’s lunch is macaroni & cheese with breadstick, green beans and fruit cocktail. Tomorrow’s lunch specials are chicken bacon ranch pizza and hot dog on a bun.
