Causes: Lower (Led by Moderate French Canadian Nationalists): -Economic instability -Tension between French (majority) and British (minorities) Upper: -Effect of the Lower Canadian rebellion -Unelected officials were making all of the decisions
Effects: -Thousands of Canadians were killed -John George Lambton wrote a report calling for a merge of the two Canada’s (Act Of Union 1841) -“Responsible Government”
